Island Now declared
a Marine Park sanctuary, Cook Island is host to many marine creatures
and a highlight to diving the Gold Coast. Leopard Sharks (seasonal),
Abundant fish life,Turtles , Spotted Eagle Rays, Bullnosed, and
Shovel Nosed Rays, Blue Groper {protected species}, Moray Eels and
Soft Coral Beds make it a Great dive several times over.This site
is ideal for open water training dives and refresher courses. Spots
around the Island include Mery's Rock Reef which has a number of
swim throughs, The North Wall, The Coral Gardens & The Turtle
Nursery.

Sharks {December to May}and Grey Nurse Sharks {June to october), Large
Spotted Eagle Rays, Pelagic Fish, Wobbegong's. Generally crystal clear
waters.

The Alberta The Alberta wreck
off Kingscliffe is a 118 year old coastal trader of 2700 ton. At 10
metres it is surrounded by reef with plentiful fish life.The wreck
is home to and wobbegongs lay in the heavy ribbed structure of the
wreck, The large boilers from the ship lay out in the sand with one
having horizontal swim throughs. Depth

6 to18 metres.
The Pinnacle Large schools
of surgeon fishes swim the shallow portion of a very large series
of Coral & Rock Bommies where Wobbegongs lay in the gutters and
rock faces with their carpet disguise. A maze of Gutters and ten meter
drop offs complement the activity of fish life.

Prince Nurse &
Wobbegong Sharks feed on Crayfish and other marine creatures while
hiding between the coral encrusted remaining hull ribs. A relaxing
dive with lots of detail to investigate.

Shallow Open Wreck dive
Deep Wreck Sitting upright
on the sand , this perfectly intact trawler wreck site is a new
addition.The Booms and guide wires are all in place,a
net hangs from one of the booms. A Technical Dive only for those
experienced with the appropriate certification or those undergoing
training.

A large rocky reef sourounded by boulders, Hole In the Wall is home to Wobbygongs, QLD Groper, large rays and a variety of Pelagic fish species. The reef has large and small swin throughs that make the Hole in Wall dive relaxing while still exciting with plenty to see.
